Under the "Download Instrument" category are only standard versions.

Hm... I only noticed that I have the instruments twice after the upgrade, i.e. I had to download the full libraries and install them beside the standard libraries.
Now I have all my instruments as full libraries, and well organised under the A, B, C, ... categories. I don't need to look in the “Download Instruments” category again.
I always wondered why some instruments were installed in the “Download Instruments” category and some in the A, B, C ... categories. This is confusing, because even the installed instrument folders on the hard drive have different numbers/names for standard and full libraries. I think these are relics from the DVD era. Don't know for sure.
Yes, you are right, the name is confusing because all libraries can now be downloaded.
There are some differences, depending on library / collection, but in general
- if you buy a single instrument, you will get a download instrument.
- if you buy the entire collection (standard), you will get the collection (not the download version).
- if you buy a single instrument and upgrade to the standard collection, you will get the downlaod version of all other instruments in the collection, but not the collection version.
- if you buy the full version of a single instrument you will get the same version as in the collection.
I downloaded everything from my account and installed it. Why don't I have that installed? I started with Cube Std, later I bought the Full, also appassionata and dimensions strings and brass and all the extra winds, etc. I bought almost everything and downloaded everything. So why am I missing that?

Thanks, Ben!!! This is very helpful and answers all of my questions.
And also explains the last question by Dewdman42.
upgrade prices? I'm not asking about that. Never mind it doesn't really matter, I just was responding to the other users's question because I started with Cube STD and later upgraded to FULL and they said they saw a Download category and someone else said it could be deleted as a duplicate so I just wanted to make sure I don't have any duplicates (which it sounds like I don't), even though I also started at STD and later upgraded to FULL (cube). But in going through that I started wondering WHY I don't have the download category, and now I think I understand its because it has to do with if I had ever bought any individual instruments, which I never did I always bought everything as collections... So hopefully that is why I don't have a download category and also don't have any duplicates..
I already own most of the instruments, I don't need to know any prices, I just wanted to make sure I don't have any duplicate presets that would be causing me confusion. I'm still learning my way around the preset lists.
It's not exactly as simple as has been presented, except if all you did was Cube Standard and then added Extended, probably in VSL Data you may see Full vs something else, and the not-Full will be redundant.
I have I think 3 Download instruments which have no distinction, there is the one version and it's quite 'Full'.
I bought Cube Std, then later Cube Full. Then later dimension stuff, appassionata was somewhere in there, also I think I got first as STD and later as FULl, then later I got the winds complete package.
I never bought any indivisual instruments.
I'm pretty confident I have all the presets corresponding to everything I have purchased, just kinda wanted to make sure I don't have any duplicates on the list... Where is "VSL Data" that you mention?

I didn't see this before. thanks for the explanation. It sounds like to me, the only case for ending up with duplicate presets is if we start with a single instrument (std) purchase and upgrade either that single instrument to full or to any collection (std or full) that has the same instrument in it, then that is when we might end up with a duplicate Download Category which would be safe to delete. Sound about right?

I have things in a collection some of which read as "Full" some of which don't (never bought the Standard of it separately), and some of the download instruments, same thing; three or more of which have only the one version.
But yeah, if you never bought singles yoiu wouldn't tend to see 'Download', and none of my files look like that anyway.
