    I currently have the freebies VE 6 and the latest VI.

    I would like to get VI Pro, but would I be able to use it in my VE 6, or would I have to buy VE Pro as well ?

    If so, could I still buy VI Pro and just forget about using VE, ie have all the instruments as stand-alones ?

    My DAW is Digital Performer 9.52, OS 10.13.6

    It works in VE. You can demo it for free.
