  • What should I do with my Laptop?

How can I fix and upgrade my laptop which makes my laptop completely working in using YAMAHA CFX.For example,Getting more limited voices. At 48000hz 520samples i7 6700hq ram 16 GB 2133 Samsung ssd 950 pro

  • Hi Keagan,

Did you already increase the Preload Size for your CFS Content in your Synchron Player Preferences => Database?

Higher buffer size? How is your SSD connected?

  • 48000hz buffer 520 samples = limit at 520 voices? my SSD is connected on board. I have increased my preload form 4096 to 8192.

  • Hi Keagan,

The buffer size is not the same as the voice limit (which can be set in Synchron Player).
Any changes if you increase preload to 16382 Samples?

What happens if you increase the buffer size of your soundcard?

  • I already changed my preloaded samples that you had mentioned about but it was too lag to use. when I increased the buffer size, the sound was spread out extremely delay. For example,as 2048 buffer size it delays approximate 0.1 s. thank

  • Hi,

The preload size only has to do with the loading time (as it loads bigger parts of the samples into RAM, resulting in more time to access the samples on the harddrive). What does it mean that it was "too lag to use"?

Yes, high buffer sizes will not be good for live performances. But is the playback better?

One way to work is to use the less intense Room-Mixes for live playing and switch to the bigger presets for mixing (with higher buffer sizes).

  • ahh i forgot "I used at 32,768 samples not 16384 samples sorry"so that it not enough for RAM need. Do I need to upgrade my RAM? thank

  • Hi Keagan,

32.768 won't be needed. I also don't think that you need to upgrade your RAM.
Did you try my suggestion yet?
