The new “Vienna Synchron Player” has been released, but do I see it only for “Synchron Fx strings“? And I tried to install Windows version of the  new “Vienna Synchron Player”, but after opening Cubase 9.5, there was a mistake.

Another question is whether the “Vienna Synchron Player” can be applied to “Synchron Strings I“ or “Synchron Percussion I“？I see that after installing the “Vienna Synchron Player”, there will be more than one software,name is “Synchron Library Installer“.Whether after the “Synchron Strings I“ or “Synchron Percussion I“ is also using this “Vienna Synchron Player”?

If so, do we need to download the “Synchron Strings I“ and the “Synchron Percussion I“ instrument Libraries again?

I hope VSL can give me a satisfactory answer, not too vague!

Is the Player available to all Synchron Products (TODAY) or is  it just for Fx Strings customers?

That is a very good catch V ad im... Very good indeed. Says "Introductory Offer," not to be confused with "Promotional Offer."

But on the front page (https://www.vsl.co.at/en), both CFX and SFX Strings I are presented as "introductory offers"... so why CFX is included but not FX Strings I?

The demos sound great, and far more realistic, flexible (in terms of mixing with other elements) and organic than anything various competitors have come upo with so far regarding FX Strings.

I was all set to buy it tonight (I didn't even know about it yet, but found it by accident while checking to make sure I am up-to-date on everything after upgrading to the full CFX package today), but ran into the same confusion regarding mismatched terms on the product page for FX Strings.

As I bought the Synchron Package for a slight additional discount on the Stdnard Edition of CFX earlier, I was surprised when it only showed up at the Promotional Price vs. also showing "Your Price" (accounting for what I own), so I figured that even though FX Strings is listed below Synchron Package, that it isn't included (yet).

From what I am reading here, my guess is that the promotional and loyalty prices are all correct at this poinbt, and that iot is safe to buy, but that there is simply some inconsistency in presentation of the terminology, that should be worked out to remove ambiguity.

I too am wondering whether the older Synchron libraries will load into the new Synchron Player (which does not yet show up in my account -- perhaps I have to first bu FX Strings for that to happen).

Given that the release date was apparently today, I guess we need to be patient for the website to stabilize a bit regarding product information.

Sorry that is not correct. as you can see here even while it is still in its "introductory price period the: "YAMAHA CFX is part of SYNCHRON PACKAGE"

and I bought it as Part of the Synchron-Package with both the introductory and the Bundle reductions:

And guess what: that is exactly how it should be for those who are as loyal enough to really go "complete" and "early".

I must not remind you that you spent Super-Package-Owners who bought Synchron Strings I without bundle reduction for the introductory price an extra voucher to prevent them to pay more for being loyal and early.

So do not change your policy each time again and again but stay clear and consequent and add the introductory price to the bundleprice and reward "early"loyalty as it  should be, because those are evidentially your most faithful customers.

There was a mistake calculating the promotional price. I was just trying to be helpful... no need to be sarcastic. :)

Thanks for correcting the page; I am just about to purchase. 25 euros less by re-buying the Synchron package (unless I go for the full edition, which I still probably won't bother with, except for the pianos, where the surround-to-stereo mix-downs are quite helpful -- I don't yet do surround-based work).

The Synchron Player is quite nice, and easy/quick to learn.

It seems the other Synchron libraries will not be recognized by the new player, until they are updated from ".dat" files to ".vsynvolume" files. So for now, only FX Strings 1 will show up in the new player.

It seems to me that VSL-Libraries are always one step beyond in their development than their player, as the synchron-player seems to be the ultimate player engine to use the dimension-libraries, than regarding the content of Synchron FX-Strings I would suggest: what you need now is kind of a hybridasation of Synchon-Player  and NI-Reaktor (like the UVI-Falcon for instance) to allow the most flexible controle of the wealth soundscapes which VSL opens for Orchestral-Samples like the Synchron FX-Strings.

(Sorry, but I cant resist asking for "the" next step again and again 😛)

I just upgraded StudioOne to v4 today. Be aware that neither Synchron Pianos nor Synchron Player pass the plug-in validation phase on macOS running Sierra. Digital Performer is fine with both.

Not sure whether these passed in StudioOne v3, as my copy (even after many re-installs) failed to launch for over half a year. I also haven't tried it yet in Cubase, but I'm one ".5" version behind on that product. I'll try Logic Pro later on.

My only complaint about the new players is that they don't have standalone versions -- a trend in the industry. I like using standalone apps to ferret out problems and to avoid the overhead of launching a DAW session to insert a VI temporarily just for testing purposes. It's a much more restrictive an d time-consuming workflow -- especially if just using a VI for practicing parts.

It doesn't appear that there is a separate 'Full' list of articulations, vs the Standard.

Problem:  I've downloaded and installed both the Synchron Pianos and Synchron FX content and latest players. Directory Manager is updated with their directories containing the .vsynvolume files for both libraries.

Using Vienna Ensemble Pro 6.0.17011 I can insert a Synchron Pianos plugin and get the Player but no samples load when I select a player type Concert, Intimate, etc.  Not an intuitive interface. What am I missing?
