[SOLVED] cannot find Sibelius preset in VI

Hi

I just purchased the Alto Sax and dowloaded it. I am able to see the patch under 'Download instruments PRESET-Files' in VI PRO and am able to play it. However, nothing happens when I tried to load the Sibelius preset. 

I am not sure if I am missing somethign here, like adding a path? How do I load the Sibelius present for this instrument?

Any help appreciated!

Hello Anand!

Could it be that you have loaded the wrong VI preset?
The VI preset for Sibelius for the Alto Saxophone Single Instrument standard can be found under PRESET/Sibelius/Woodwinds+Brass 2.6/- Single Instruments/Single Instruments Standard. It's called "D58 Alto Sax".

yes this solves the issue. Thank you.

I had loaded the Sax-02 Alto Sax L1 directly under the 'Woodwinds+Brass/Saxophones'/

I am curious though, about what th other Sax preset is for. For example all along I was loading woodwind presets from 'Woodwinds 1/2' and the brass presets from 'Brass 1/2' and not from the 'Single Instruments' folder. In fact I see that these other instruments do not load at all from the Single Instruments folder. (i.e., nothing happens when I load them and the cells remain red) 

I was wondering if the Sax is somehow treated differently or if I am missing something deeper?

Hello Anand!

The VI presets in the folder Sibelius/Woodwinds+Brass 2.6/Saxophones are for the Saxophones instrument collection, while the VI presets in the folder Sibelius/Woodwinds+Brass 2.6/- Single Instruments are for the Single instruments.
