    Hello,

    I was wondering if anyone could make a quick (even 30 seconds) demo of how the different vibratos compare to each other in the full appassionata strings library. As mentioned earlier, I have only the special edition of the appassionata strings. I would love to hear what the sustained progressive and strong vibrato patches sound like as compared to the basics.

    Hi Richard,

    I know it's a bit controversial decision because it has a cost (actually 18€ for 60 minutes credit), but if you are planning to buy something expensive as a full library, I think it's a fair deal to try the "Audition Credit" service.

    Yes you have to pay for it, but you may select and play all the articulations of all the products you would think about and/or plan to buy. In case you do, I recommend you record the output of your trial with any audio streaming recording utility for future comparison and more accurate listening.

    I can't directly help you, because I don't own Appassionata string.

    ( I was reaching similar results mixing Orchestral and Chamber strings: of course it is not the same than just playing Appassionata, but the expressive vibrato of Chamber strings mixing to Vibrato of Orchestral with Cell-X-fade controller, was a good turn-around for some "appassionated" effects 😛. BTW number of players you reach mixing Chamber and Orchestral is the same of Appassionata).

    Hi there Sururick,

     

    there is a demo of mine on the Music page, where I have long phrases that use the progressive vibrato. I'm not sure how many times I use it, but most of the opening phrases with long notes, I use this patch. I do also recall using the high vibrato patches for the legato in this music.

    Thanks Fabio for the information. I didn't even no that audition service was even available. I think I will indeed pay the small fee to test out some of the intruments. I'm also stuck on whether I should get the full solo strings library or voices complete. Out of all the choir libraries including the new EW choir via composer cloud I have, I still like the individual Vienna soprano choir I purchased back in 2008.

    Thanks again guys. I will defintely be upgrading to the full library of the appassionata strings from the special editions before this promo is over.
