Hi - I am trying (for the first time) to connect my ipad to VI Pro to use the remote capability. I keep getting a message stating that the 'server is not responding'.
The user manual states:
"If none of the addresses work, please ensure that the audio workstation computer and your tablet share at least one common network."
- My ISP IP ethernet config (the network where my "audio workstation computer" is connected) is shown below. (Windows 10).
IPv6 address: 2607:fea8:1d60:6ec::3
2607:fea8:1d60:6ec:50f3:ea:8b0f:b0a0
fd00:1cab:c072:14d2:50f3:ea:8b0f:b0a0
IPv6 DNS servers: 2607:fea8:1d60:6ec:1eab:c0ff:fe72:14d2
IPv4 address: 192.168.0.10
IPv4 DNS servers: 192.168.0.1
Primary DNS suffix: hitronhub.home
Manufacturer: Realtek
Description: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Driver version: 10.10.714.2016
Physical address (MAC): 50-9A-4C-03-78-68
The address: 192.168.0.10 is the same as is shown in the VI Pro settings once I selected. 'Enable remote control (Web Server)'.
- My ipad is connected to the wi-fi broadcasted from the computer's modem/router. I checked the config settings on my ipad for the given wi-fi network and they show the following:
IP Address - 192.168.0.11
Router - 192.168.0.1
DNS - 192.168.0.1
So.. I am I in some way in a situation where the audio workstation computer and tablet DO NOT share at least one common network.
Thanks
Patrick
