    Hi Paul

Could you tell me whether the free&powerful player will be released with Synchron Strings1 or not?

I am very concern about this because I don't have any previous product, and Synchron Strings1 is my first buy and I really hope I can use it as soon as released...

    Best,

    Jogger

    Hi Bill,

Synchron Player will be the free player for the Synchron Series. It's such a powerful tool, I can't really imagine a PRO version of it...

    Best,
    Paul

    Hi

The Synchron Strings 1 will work with the free Vienna Instruments player. So if Synchron Player is not ready you'll be able to use Synchron Strings I with this one.

Great news!  I was hoping I wouldn't have to shell out more for the player!  Will the player load as instances into Vienna Ensemble and Ensemble Pro?  And will there be new versions of those shell softwares to accomodate the new player?

  • Hi Paul.

What version of VST SDK used to make this player? 2.0 or 3.6? (this question about player multychannel MIDI operating ability)

Is there any screenshots of this player?

    Best regards
    Vadim

  • Could not find an answer, but is there any integration with NI Komplete Kontrol?

  • Hello VSL, regarding to the Synchron Player and your SSL-MegaPurchase :) ... are there more effects included in this new Player??? Eastwest has great Effect Suite included in their Player and I was wondering ... wouldn't it be fair by SSL to give you an exclusive license of Duende-Plugins for your Player? You purchased SSL-Mixing consoles for a lot of money ... Why should Eastwest keep this advantage?

VSL does of course not sell any "effects"!

If you are looking for mastering plugins for a Pro, go for the vienna suite.

I do not think VSL needs to ad any "candy" to sell their products.😛

  •

I would buy it, if I not already had it :)
And I don't want candy, but sugar :D

There is the one "per cell"-effect, which I really miss ... not for mastering, but for Sounddesign ...

I do not see big benefits in f. ex. a limiter or a compressor effect per cell, but think of the possibility to add a transient shaper for each cell!! This alone opens a world of possibilities to design Vienna sounds.

The second effect I miss is an Eventide-like-micopitchshifter.

In general I find it is time that VSL offers more effects in the Player. (not for mastering - only Sounddesign)
A global SSL-Board (of course not for each cell) would be great!

  • Can the new Synchron instrument be used in stand alone mode, similar ti the VIP ?

  • Hi,

Synchron Player will come without a standalone option, but you can always use it in a stand-alone Vienna Ensemble/Pro.

    Paul

As mentioned it can be used in VIP ?

IF so, other than mic positions, is the behavior and preformance the same in VIP ?

    thanks

  • Hi mazeka,

I'm afraid I don't understand the question, but maybe this helps.

There will be no standalone version of Synchron Player (unlike VI PRO), and the Synchron Player offers better performance and a different approach in behaviour than VI PRO.

We are still alpha-testing Synchron Player, but there will be a video documenting the main features as soon as possible.

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi,

Like in VI Pro, will you implement a kind of "sequencer" in Synchron Player ?

    Thanks in advance

Reason for stand alone mode, the VIP does not respond to Sysex in VE because VE does not pass SYSEX.

Will the new player be based on the same SYSEX as the VIP ?

  • Love the new Colorful look of the Synchron Player!!! Finally found a video from Namm!! Yaay I'm excited now!!! Great job VSL! Can't wait to see and hear more!

There is a 2 video from NAMM on the VSL facebook page, but without detailed look of player https://www.facebook.com/viennasymphoniclibrary/?hc_ref=ARSwUBo9WOs-aTQXsLlABnLossSvw3C--8WML23swIh6kZa3yHDjdWtBSwfp8xVj9aE&fref=nf

Blogospherianman, do you mean any another video?

  • Great Vadim! That’s it. The first Video below shows a few interesting things. Paul, what do the people see, when they put the VR glasses on? Is it possible to make this visible?
