    When I have a project loaded and I want to start clean, I select "Delete All Instances" expecting it to just wipe everything so I can start fresh. Instead I am sitting here while the progress bar says "Saving channels" even though I clicked "No" when it asked if I wanted to save changes to the previous project. What is it saving and why? Does it have to do with autosaves or something?

    Hi, 

    De-allocation of samples (unloading) also takes time, and if something gets in the way or stuck (usually a scripted program), VE PRO can hang, due to the blocked program. 

    The fastest way to go, although a bit brutal, is to force quite VE PRO and start it again (make sure you have saved everything you need before).

    Thanks Paul, that is good to know. That is what I usually end up doing so I'll just continue to force quit.
