    Hi all,

    Pure amusement, pleasure of listening, dancing, playing. This is one of the many, many dances Mozart left us. They say he was a diligent and skilled dancer. Maybe he found the existing dances boring and uninteresting and therefore he wrote an enormous a pile of new ones. Those among you who know me, won't be surprised that I sampled another one. And I guess nobody will blame me for that...

    VSL Chamber Strings + Solo Violins 1 and 2; baroque oboe, bassoon, horns (Mozartsaal)

    Gavotte 4 in F major

    Excellent sound and performance!  Mozart is perfection even in his lightest music. I think he may have been an alien...

    Although it looks so simple and easy, it's full of refinement and working effects. Moreover, it's absolute dance music, ready to be danced to. (Not some kind of lounge music for the happy few...)

    Your midi-performance sounds wonderful. Would you please share how you use Altiverb and MIR Pro in your mixes? My guess would be that you use a bit of MIR Pro for room placement, then Altiverb?

    However you do it, your sound is terrific.

    Thank you for your encouraging words. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks to the great Mozart as well for his wonderful music, however light it may be!

    As to the ambience, I've used one Altiverb instance per instrument(group) to create the room positions and distance, situated in the Mozart Hall. As glue to tie everything together, I've added a little bit of MIRacle in the master channel. The amount of reverb is as usual very modest, the recording distance 6.4 m. The violins are Chamber strings plus one solo violin per group to add a little more presence..
