just purchased Vienna Imperial on an HDD, with Vienna elicenser USB...my music pc runs Win8.1, uses 2 SSD's...
- i downloaded the latest elicenser software to the Vienna key, and download manager files, etc. on another USB stick on my internet-connected machine, then transferred them to my music computer (as per typical procedure with various music apps...)
- when i try to install Vienna on the music pc (double-clicking on the (WIN) Library Installer.exe file on the HDD), i get the same SYNSOACC.DLL error message that Claude Bourget reports below (all before opening my DAW ...if i can ever get Vienna to install, i'll be using Reaper, not Pro Tools, but that's not an issue...yet...)...i tried a couple of USB ports for the elicenser, and multiple reboots...no luck...
Claude reports his issue as 'corrected' (see below), but i don't understand his solution (he refers to msconfig and Startup)...don't know if my solution would be the same or not anyway...
ideas??

At the opening of Pro Tools (PC, 12.4) at the time it scans the plug-ins of Vienna (AAX) this message:
SYNSOACC.DLL File Could not be Located in the Windows system folder
It is then impossible to open Pro Tools (and I have work!)
I reinstalled everything. All versions of all are the most recent: Vienna, Pro Tools, eLicencer, etc.
Please help me.

P.S. I opened a case with Steinberg, here is the answer.
Hi Claude Marc,
This office does not provide full support for the elicenser when used with a non Steinberg product we are limited to license transactions only. If Cubase is launching okay I would say that the you may need to reinstall the VEP as we usually only this the message when the software is not able to talk to the key.
When Cubase does this we reinstall the elicenser control center which you have done and sometimes we have to reinstall Cubase as well. In rare occasions it can be security software blocking the program from communicating with your key or that your Host application may need to be launched as an administrator. But once again these are my Steinberg notes not Avid or Vienna so I am unsure if these apply to your current situation.
I would also recommend you open a case with Vienna

Corrected.
I handed default services in msconfig and Startup.
Yet Microsoft services (except indexing service), Avid, Vienna and eLicencer were active. I do not know what service was required for this.
