  • Faulty Latency Compensation Recognition within VEP6 64 Bit Slave?

    Hi there,

I run Cubase 9.02 on Win 8.1 PC and Slave PV Win 7 with latest VEP Version (16068). VEP 6 ist set up to have 64 Audio outs and 8 Midi ins. While working on a new project I was using 32 bit and 64 Bit Slave Instances simultaniuosly on my Slave PC. After two days of work I noticed that 64 Bit Slave Instance of VEP adds a significant amount of latency while recording midi in realtime. That doesn't happen with 32 Bit Slave Instance at all. The buffer size is identical for both instances. The different latency stays if I play around with the buffer size of the both VEP Instances.

In order to rule out the reasons for the extreme latency difference, I deleted all instruments of 64 Bit Instance but one (A.N.A Synth) and did the same on 32 Bit Instance. Both Synths have the same preset. Everything within the project the problem occured. Latency difference is still there.

It's my second project where the problem occured. Before that I was using Nuendo 4 and VEP 5, so I can not really tell if the issue occured with other version of cubase and VEP.

    Seems to be a bug.

     Any Idea?

    Kind Regards

    Jeff
