Hi everybody! 2017 will be a very exciting year! You have been following the development of our Vienna Instruments Collections for quite a while, so you know that our goal is to expand the possibilities of our existing products with new additions. Ambient samples that were recorded in a specific space are a great alternative and addition to samples that were recorded rather dry. We definitely want to share the sonic beauty of our Synchron Stage with the world out there, and new products will not replace existing ones. Best,PaulSo we're not going to retire the silent stage are we? I'm sure the Synchron Stage sounds wonderful but I like my samples dry. Maybe a Synchron MIR expansion or a Vienna Suite Synchron converb upgrade would be in order but I like the silent stage😄.
Hi,
I'm super excited, and happy to hear that VSL will be delighting us with new Synchron Stage Recorded VSL Libraries.
With Percussion first, and hopefully Strings, Woodwinds, Brass and more specializied Libraries will follow over the next few years. This is what I was hoping (even dreaming) to see happen at VSL for the past 10 or more years, and it is finally becoming a reality !
So.. Congratulations to the VSL team for making this very wise, and important decision, and aquiring the new Synchron Stage, which will serve you in many ways to expand your services, and sample libraries to the next level of realism, and sonic beauty.
Cheers,

There is a picture of "Synchron-MIR" - Stage A. Look at all those Mics! And the Harp is even included as dry Instrument! Yeah 😉 http://www.synchronstage.com/en/technology#!mir_synchron_tech I agree with you about the advantage of the dry recorded Instruments. But I think I will give the first Synchron-Percussion a try. I am not so interested in the Drums, but the Kolberg-Celesta could be a great benefit because it has more Keys than the existing and is sampled with a robot for maximum Velocities. It is also great that there is a Yamaha Grand in the Synchronstage which also has a computer included like the Boesendorfer. It seems that Steinway don't offer this. And there is a small Organ too in Stage A. https://www.synchronstage.com/en/technology#!reproducing_pianos
Hello LAJ,
Thank you for posting with the links👍 I feel much better now😊
At this link: http://www.synchronstage.com/en/technology#!mir_synchron_tech
It gives an example of a harp recorded in the different environments, iso booth, stage A with MIR, without, etc.
Perhaps I was bit hasty in my original asertion. It looks like there's a lot of exciting stuff going on there.
