    Hi, This is VERY urgent.

    I have built a new VEP computer that will be my main from now. 

    It is a Windows 10 machine, and I gave her the same name as the previous one, but I had to change its IP from 10.20.10.120 to 192.168.1.4. I cannot save the IP due to a changed network, VPN reasons etc.

    I need to work - is there a way to DO SOMETHING so all my 200 instances connect automatically when I open a template 

     

    PLEASE

    May be even a diffucult way to do it

    Hello Adia, 

    What is not urgent these days? 

    VE PRO connects based on 2 factors: 

    1) IP address
    2) Instance name (preserved name)

    If you replace an IP address, like in your case, you will have to connect all instances manually, once, and then save the new song, best as a new version.

    I'm afraid there's no shortcut.

    Paul, thank yoy I am reconfiguring the network. Is there a way to CHECK what IP was there? Any way, like going to a logic file, etc...., resources, even a difficult one, I would manage it. Thank you. I messed some things

    Hello Adia, 

    That would be a very unusual network... 

    These are the most common consumer networks:
    192.168.0.x
    192.168.1.x
    10.0.0.x

    => You will want to use 255.255.255.0 as the subnet mask, and leave the other fields free.

    Paul I found it, I think it came from a tutorial 10.255.255.5 this is the main VEP server.  I thought just the name of the computer was enogh but it was not!

    It saved me 3-4 hours!!!! 

    If you know the way to retrieve for the future it would be good:)
