  • Brass Divisi

    Hello everyone.

In the next few months I'm willing to buy a Brass library since I have no good library for that. I would need something that allows me to have a divisi section. So, something that I can set up to be played by one horn alone or two horns or all 4 horns or the higher note first horn, second note secondo horn etc. I just need the normal Orchestral sounds, so 4 Horns, 3 (or 4) trumpets, 3 Trombones

Is it possible with Dimension Brass I ? or do I need another library? I saw the autodivisi feature, is it possible to achieve something a little more complex and indipendent lines?.

Dimension Brass is very flexible. It is possible to pick from several schemes for dividing notes from a single input. However, the greatest flexibility can be achieved by simply putting each instrument into a different input. So for 4 trumpets you would actually have 4 tracks, trumpet 1, 2, 3 and 4. Because all were recorded in the same room at the same time, the sound will blend perfectly whether they are playing unison, 2 and 2, 4 independent lines, or any combination.

To get the absolute most out of the product, I highly recommend getting and using Vienna Instruments Pro software. The humanization features and other additional features of VI Pro increase the realism factor enormously. In my view it is the most advanced sample player available, and far better than Kontakt or Play.
