I want to set up a slave for my HO diamond and need some advice based on performance and stability only and not budget.
Would you use a nMP 6 cores @ 3.5 Ghz, 64 GB ram to host VEP 6 or a similar 6 cores Xeon or i7 PC (with the same amount of ram) ?
With a nMP (specs above), i manage to load roughly 100 patches before audio starts to distort (CPU shows 80% and ram usage at 23 GB), I was hoping to get all the HO patches one machine slave, is this even realistic ? If so can someone recommend a machine's specs ?
Thanks

Far more bang for the buck, and better performance from Play, with a slave PC. I run a large Hollywood Orchestra VE Pro 6 emplate on my slave PC with a supplemental Kontakt VE Pro 6 template on my Mac with Logic Pro as my DAW,
