  • The MIR Pro Instrument Profiles for Vienna Solo Voices can be found in Section "06 Other", with the number 111 in the header (see attachment).

  • Hi Dietz,

My version of MIR doesn't have those presets, its Other menu has the five Vienna Choir options labelled 100, then 101 Soprano Choir, and then goes straight to 151 Upright Bass and Concert Guitar, and then 152 Electric Guitar.

What would I need to update to get the missing profiles?

    Many thanks,

    Pyre

  • I'm using MIR Pro 5.4.14074 here, which is also the latest official release at the moment. You can check for updates from the "Option ..."- pull-down menu from MIR Pro's main menu bar, or you open the download area in your "MyVSL"-area of this site. -> https://www.vsl.co.at/en/MyVSL

  • Weird, that's the version I'm using too. Yet the solo voices options are definitely not listed. Is this something I should send to support@vsl?

  •  Please download the latest version again first and re-install it. Make sure that the file "C: [i.e. yoursystem drive]\ProgramData\VSL\Vienna MIR Pro\Default.vmi" got updated, too (should be from January 15th 2016).

    Kind regards,

  • Sorry, I can't see Default.vmi anywhere, or ProgramData. I have C\Program Files\Vienna Mir Pro, but that only contains the Vienna MIR Pro and unins000 applications, and a file called unins000.dat

  • Windows hides the ProgramData-folder by default.

  • Ah, brilliant, thank you. I've found the Default.vmi file, it says it was last modified in 2014 (same as every other file in the folder). I installed the latest VEP version earlier, so, if that didn't update the file, any idea who else I might do so please?

  • You have to install MIR Pro itself to update that "Default" file (which contains Instrument Profile data, among other important features). VE Pro won't do that.

  • Thanks very much, Dietz, got it now, that worked a treat!
