I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10 with a fresh installation.
Are all the samples of the venues of MIRx and MIR Pro been loaded in advance in the RAM or also on the flow?
I ask this, because when it is loaded in advance, then they can be stored on the c-disk, if they are loaded on the flow, the best place should be on my second harddisk. Or do I understand this wrong?
MIR's impulse response data gets loaded into RAM entirely. No disk streaming is involved. Due to the huge amount of data involved it still might be a good idea to use a fast disk, otherwise project loading times will increase.
When you plan to do lots of little adjustments in full-blown MIR projects with many instances, then don't miss the option to assign some cache memory in MIR's Preferences. That way, MIR will keep as many of the raw IRs in memory, which will quicken the pre-rendering of those small changes considerably.
