[SOLVED] Vienna Instruments successfully installed but not showing up in VE Pro 5
I'm trying to get VI to show up in VE Pro, but it is not. It shows as a plugin but the scanner doesn't seem to catch it. The standalone works fine. I unclicked 'VE Pro' during VI install since I already have VE Pro installed. Is this a mistake? [EDIT] Solved. VE Pro needed to be restarted to see VI. Its working now.

Edit - just read the manual. It seems I need VI PRO to use Epic in VE Pro? That's confusing - why does it come free with VE Pro when it cannot be used in the software it comes free with? :-/

I'm sure you're wrong about that. The instruments can just be loaded into VI. You don't need VI Pro.
So let's have a look at what you're talking about. What does "the scanner" mean?

You are right. I just needed to restart VE Pro for me to see the 'Add instrument' option.
Solved!
