  • Yes, this is a good idea indeed. It has been proposed by a few people already. There are some technical challenges in implementing it like this however, but we're definitely considering it.

I would like a tab per MIDI Port, as using any more than one Port means a huge amount of scrolling to find Instruments.

+1! And of course I would also pay an upgrade fee for new and cool features, I personally don't expect to get features that are tricky to implement for free. I hope that the other (happy) users feel the same.

  • +1 - an excellent suggestion.  Would clear things up a lot.

  • I'm glad to hear this has been a well-requested idea already. It would be great, if in the meantime, there were a key-command to flip through our currently-open VE Pro windows. If there already is a key-command for this, or another way to do this (on Mac OS), I'd like to hear. Thanks.

Command-tilde (` - to the left of the '1' key above TAB) is your friend.

  • Thank you! I never knew of that command. Very useful.

  • You can actually already access the different windows in a VE Pro Server session very easily using the Exposé feature on Mac. You can also assign a shortcut to do this for all windows of a single application (such as VE Pro Server). To check or change your Exposé settings, just click the Apple menu (top left of the screen at all times), then "System Preferences...", "Exposé & Spaces" and finally "Exposé".

  • Bringing this back from the dead. Some of the shortcuts/expose suggestions don't work if your slave is a pc, at least to my knowledge.  Tabs for instances would be wonderful!

  • Now you can use the Event Plugin and not need different instances...
