Hi, I have the Vienna Harp...I've managed to get the stand-alone version working...I'm looking for a glissando in a major key that goes up, then down. I can't find one as yet. I'm new to the software and there are a lot of options in the interface I don't understand yet.

Failing that, my immediate solution would be just to play it with the mouse on the virtual keyboard and record the notes. Is it possible to record the midi notes and then import them into another software prog? I'm thinking though that just running it as a plugin would automatically record them in the host prg anyway?

    Thanks,

  • Do you have the extended Harps or just the standard library?

I don't own harps but I think the glissandi direction is an A/B controller? so play, record or program the note you want the glissandi to start on with the A keyswitch then play the note again with the B keyswitch, Or vice versa.

  • It's the HA1...don't think it's the extended one. I found the AB switch which gives an up/down arpeggio...but I'd prefer to have a recorded up then down arpeggio.

  • You know, on second thought if you own VI Pro you might be able to do what you want with the sequencer feature but I don't know how authentic it will sound.

Oh! and you have to own VI Pro, of course.

  • I didn't see the second half of your first reply...yes that's it. I'll work something out...it's knowing how much sustain to put on each note - little details. Knowing the tuning and mecahnics of a harp would help. I can find out.
