    Hi everyone

    this is my first thread.  I need some advise about how could work Vienna SE on my computer. I'd like to buy all the samples of Special Edition but I don't know if I can work on my configuration:

    Intel i7 4th generation 32 Gb Ram SSD 128 Gb Hd 1Tb 7200 rpm Win 7 Tascam US122l Cubase pro 8

    One SSD is for o/s and application and other one for sound samples. Hd only for storage.

    Can I run a template with symphonic orchestra?

    Do you think I can use Mir?

    Please sorry for my english...maybe you have to interpret a little bit😳

    CPU and RAM are absolutely sufficient. Not sure about the audio interface because I'm not familiar with the model. It's a somewhat aged one. But as long as the ASIO driver is able and up-to-date, it should do. And even if it doesn't: there are several affordable and reliable options available on the current market, so it shouldn't be a huge problem to replace it.

    Not quite sure what you mean - those two programs do different things. Vienna Instruments Pro would probably make more sense though.

    Thank you for answer.

    Tha audio interface is a little bit aged but work until win 7. Tascam didn't release the drive from win 8. I don't know if it will be good for Vienna SE. I'll find out.  Do you think I can use Mir with my configuration? Sound good! So beside Special edition I have to buy Vienna Intrument pro and Mir. It is right? Thank you

    Vienna Instruments Pro isn't mandatory - the libraries come with the free version of Vienna Instruments and they work with it just fine. But the Pro version is great to have because it really has a lot of really useful extra fuctionality.

    I don't have experience with MIR on a single machine - I've only seen it in action on a two-computer master/slave setup. But I believe that in combination with the Special Editions, your computer should probably handle it. Perhaps you could first try the MIR 30-day demo version to see how it works on your computer before buying the full version?

    MIR will get gready in 5.1 and 7.1.

    In Stereo it has less impact on your CPU

    SE should run just fine on that system. VI Pro adds a lot of featres that you will find very useful. You don't really need Ensemble Pro because you will be running everything on one machine.

    If you are on a budget (and will only be using VSL instruments in MIR) you can use MIRx instead of the full blown versions of MIR. You can always demo them (as well as VI Pro) once you get SE.
