  • VI Soprano Choir Issues under Windows 10?

    Hello.

A while ago I bought the VI Choir Soprano library. So far I used it in on my old Laptop with Windows7. Recently I bought a faster computer for the purpose of making music, and upgraded to Windows 10. I am not sure where the issue lies, but reinstalling the Vienna Instrument plug in apparently has some issues. I installed the old archive I saved from when I bought it, but didnät got it to run. Later I downloaded the archive again, but it still can't be started. I'm not sure if it is a problem with Windows 10, but apparently mz other VST libraries work (this is though my only library from VI so far). Would be nice to find a way to use it again.

    Cheers.

  • You want to be downloading and installing the latest version.

  • I did yesterday evening and this morning again.

    Any other ideas?

  • Have you installed the latest version of eLicenser?

  • Yes. Had this installed too.

Worse, I tried again to deinstall, download all the newest files (although I downloaded it yesterday, not much chance it is different now), and reinstall, and now I can not even install the downloaded library anymore. There is definatively some conflict with Windows 10 it seems ...

  • I don't have W10 but here's a suggestion:

You say you have this library on your W7 machine?

Why not try downloading the files to an external from your W7 machine (or a flash drive if they'll fit) then copying them to your sample drive on your W10 machine.  Then do the install.  Not sure if it will make a difference.

This is just a workaround to get you up and running again but if there is an issue with W10 and the Vienna library downloader, eventually it will have to be addressed.

  • Thanks. I downloaded it, the problem seems to lie with the installation, maybe something goes wrong during the process, so the player can't be run afterwards.

  • The library and the player are two different things. The VI Palyer is software, the library is data accessed by the player. If you're having trouble with the player, there' no reason to download the library again.
