With Dimension Strings you are able to individually position and control each of the section's players, an approach which makes the creation of a string section sound extremely flexible and (imo) in combination with the stage positioning features offered by MIR, unsurpassable when it comes to the possibilities of shaping and fine-tuning its spatial qualities in general. Orchestral Strings are on the other hand a "classic" orchestral string sections library, with all the players of a respective section recorded together.

It should also be said that these two work great in combination (the Wagner example here is, imho, a case in point), especially when you use the DS to add more depth and "3D-feel" to your orchestral strings.
