Sibelius freezes on loading vienna ensemble

Hi there,

When loading a performance configuration in Sibelius 7, Vienna Ensemble will freeze - fail to load the performance config, and freeze Sibelius into the bargain. It's an intermittent fault, it happens about 50% of the time.

I'm up to date with all software etc - does anyone have a steer on why this might be happening? Happy to provide more info - my soundcard is a delta 66 (for example).

Can you share some more information?
What OS are you working on?
What are your system specs (CPU, RAM)?
Did it work previously?
Did you change anything on your system since it worked?
Are you using the latest software versions? They can be downloaded from the MyVSL area under "Software Installers".

Hey Andi,

Thanks for your response. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit. I was going to write 'I always keep my software up-to-date'. But it looks like I don't. The 'check for updates' dialog in VE tells me my software is up-to-date, but then when checking on the Vienna website, it looks like there's a newer version. 

I've updated, so hopefully that'll iron out the problem. Thanks for your help, but maybe that's a catch - I know I should check more often on the website, but have really started relying on my software to tell me whether or not it's up-to-date or not.
