  • How to play "Breathing" for Choirs VI in Sibelius 7.5

    Hi!

I've just installed the Sibelius soundset v.1.0.56 and all seems find. I also downloaded the "Optimizing Siblius playback with Vienna Ensemble v.2.6". And I read that I can in Sibelius write a Vertical line or Comma for Breathing. I have done that but I can't hear or see Sibelius is playback that sound.

Some with some experience for this?

    Regards
    Ketil

  • Hello Ketil!

I admit that triggering the breathing sound with Sibelius may be a bit cumbersome.
It works with the Vienna Choir when the comma is assigned to a rest. If you want the breathing sound between two notes without a rest, it should work when you shorten the playback duration of the first note with the Sibelius Inspector and assign the comma to the staff between the notes. It doesn't seem to work, if it is assigned to the barline.

The other way would be sending a MIDI note on command and triggering one of the breathig sounds this way. In Sibelius the MIDI note on command for D7 goes like this.
    ~N98,100
where 98 would be the pitch and 100 would be the velocity.

    Best regards,
    Andi
