  • Installing Librairies on Slave Computer

I'm re-organizing my setup and want to split librairies on 2 machines.
I'd like to have some duplicates and use 2 keys.

Can I re-use the downloaded .cab files that I saved?

    If so how?

  • No need to reinstall; just copy things over the network to the new machine. Split the liecences up onto the two keys.

    Hi,

Also important: Assign the sample content in the Directory Manager (video available here).

    Best,
    Paul

  • Great.

So, for backups, I need to save the .dat files only. Scratch the .cab

    Right?

    Hello martialb3,

I´d use the *.cab files for backup, as they are much smaller than the installed *.dat files.
Disadvantage: You´ll have to install from there, which takes a bit longer than copying *.dat files.

So: It depends on what´s more important to you: Speed or space 😉

    Best,
    Paul
