I can not get the triangle tremolos samples to trigger from Sibelius. The normal (C5) sample plays fine but the (E5) one is never triggered. What I have done: - Triangle staff created in Sibelius (single line staff by default) - Vienna Symphonic Library house style imported - Vienna Ensemble VST playback device activated - Manual Sound Set VE Special Edition loaded - Channel 11 > Program Name: Percussion > Sound ID : none In Vienna Ensemble - Special Edition Matrix 145 Percussion loaded - Midi channel assigned : 11 - C11 linked to Expression - No cross Velocity X-Fade - MIRx Reverb (MozartSaal) with Natural Volume, Pre EQ Any help would be appreciated. Kind regards, Nick

[SOLVED] Triangle Tremolos not working Sibelius 7.5 + VSL Special Edition

Hello Nick!
Thanks for reporting. I was able to reproduce a problem with the Triangle tremolo in the VE Special Edition sound set. It has been fixed with the latest version of the VSL Soundset Installer, which can be downloaded here:

Hello Andi! That is fantastic! Thankyou for the quick fix!! It's not so urgent but you will also notice that when the triangle is tremolo, it doesn't seem to respond to dynamic indications. I understand that single strokes of course should not respond, but tremolo I would expect it to follow the indications... Even if I program a decrescendo by adding f, mf, mp, p at each bar and hide them with a normal decresendo hairpin underneath, the sample remains sempre forte for 4 bars. If you get a chance to fix this it would be much appreciated. Kind regards and thanks, Nick

Thanks for the help. I think it's too much trouble adding the midi commands. I've just gone back to CC11 as expression (which gives the dynamics) and using slurs instead of ties to trick it into changing the volume every bar. An ok workaround...

Decided to try out the X-Fade solution. It does work a lot better and the only downside is the nasty mess of midi commands above the bars in question. But the playback is a lot better.
