  • Any patches in Orchestral Strings that have strong vibrato, and can sustain?

    Hello all,

Are there any patches in the full Orchestral Strings Library that have a very strong vibrato to them, and can sustain?  I can't check myself because it's the only library I don't own!  I only have the special edition version of the Orchestrals.  I am looking for something that is strong, like the Appassionata Legato Strong Vibrato patch but for Orchestral Strings.

    Thanks!

  • Short answer "no". IMO it is the only real failing of this particular Collection.

  • Aww crap.. :(.  Thanks DG.  I love the Appassionata patch but it's just to often "larger than what I need" and it doesn't fit the personality of my song.

I tried stacking many Dimension Strings and am getting a pretty great sound, but I really want that "layer" over top of them from a smaller section to help connect them all as a section.  The Special Edition Legato sounds nice layered over top of it, but when the line goes very dramatic and passionate, it just stops keeping up.

Seems sad that this type of "espressivo" patch was missed :(.

  • The VSL Team knows us certain people have been life long supporters and favor our VSL libraries above all (I do ):) but I would be willing to PAY for an expansion of dimension strings that record full section expressive samples.  The "espressivo" samples as they are take way to long to even develop into, as compared to the solo and chamber and appassionata which are "instant espressivo".
