Hi there, I have a very simple viola passage (VSL solos strings) that is dong weird timing things. Its just a pattern of Gs and B flats played as open G string and minor third above (so just one finger lifting up and down). But the G's are late starting after every B flat. Interesting thing is if I move the phrase a tone up or down the timing is perfect.
I have a hypothesis - that because VSL doesn't play open strings, it is attempting to mimic some sort of position or string change or something, and then when I move the phrase a tone up or down it then assumes it to be one position on a the same string. or perhaps there is another solution...
Anyway, I just want to make my run of quavers play evenly in G minor - any ideas?
Cheers,
Rangi.
