I am making recordings of a couple of pieces for soprano and symphony orchestra. The symphony orchestra is all done with Vienna Instruments and the MirX plugin and sound great. The soprano i will record the old-fashioned way (audio track). The choir samples are no option as the text is very important for this recording.
Obviously (correct me if i'm wrong!) I cannot use the MirX reverb for the soprano. Any ideas what I could do (in Logic 9) to make the soprano sound like she is in the same room as the orchestra (Vienna Konzerthaus Grosser Saal).
Thanks!
Emile

MIRx symphony orchestra and self recorded soprano

Hi Emile,
You're right - MIRx is made for the use with Vienna Instruments exclusively.
Vienna Suite could do the trick: Its Convolution Reverb comes with some IRs from Vienna Konzerthaus - Großer Saal. But actually Vienna MIR Pro 24 would be the logical next step in your case. It will allow for any conventional audio signal being processed inside its sampled Venues, on any position you prefer.
Kind regards,
