  • VEP Server not seeing Host after year+ of working fine.

Hi All, This may have been answered in this forum before, but I went a few pages back and didn't see anything. I have had VEP 5 running without any real issues for well over a year without any issues. I've not used it in a couple of months and today, when I went to boot it up, the server simply did not see the slave. I tried manually connecting by entering the slave's IP address (also trying the computer's network name just in case) and no dice. Both computers WERE using the same but old 2013 patch, so I updated both to the most recent patch and no difference. I followed one user's suggesting of opening up TCP/UDP ports 6472-6477 on the windows machine, also no effect. Also made sure the elicenser was up to date, just for the hell of it. Also no luck. I then tried every configuration of LAN cables and routers - I tried both computers in same router, computers in separate routers attached to same network, pc hooked directly to the mac. I tried two different usb3 gigabit network adapters on the mac (using a rMBP - the USB3 gigabit ethernet adapter has worked flawlessly for me with VEP for the year+ that I was using it before now). I also tried with both DP and Logic. Lastly, mouse+keyboard shared between computers using Synergy - this is still working fine which I think indicates that the 2 computers are at least able to communicate with one another across the network to some degree. Computer specs; PC running Windows 7. Mac running 10.8.5. I hope there's something really simple I've overlooked and will be eternally grateful to he or she who helps me out as I'm on a tight deadline and this is holding up my workflow. If there's any other info I should provide please do let me know! All the very best, -Leo.
