• I quit my DAW but MIR stayed open

I had a DAW project (Reaper) with a number of instruments in MIR Plug-In. I quit my DAW, but MIR stayed open, with most of the instruments gone but three remaining. This clearly should not be.

Now I've gone into the Win 8.1 System Tray to close MIR manually, and when I attempt to, it gives me this message:

ETA: When I subsequently restarted my computer, Win 8.1 indicated it was "configuring" some Windows Updates, which Windows had not mentioned to me until that point. In the past, Windows doing that has caused problems running Reason ( https://www.propellerheads.se/forum/showthread.php?t=187515 ), so maybe it is some Windows bug at work here too.

  • We'll keep an eye on it - but could it be that it takes MIR just a little bit longer to close? I'm not using Reaper, but on my system MIR Pro needs about 10 to 15 seconds  to shut down  after the last plug-in has been removed.

    Best,

    Best,

10 to 15 seconds is normal on my system too -- actually more like 5 seconds; but this was different. MIR never closed, and the last three instruments never went away. I took the screen shot and posted this thread, and after all that, MIR was still open.

Good chance it was caused by a Windows-update bug, though, as pending Windows-updates have caused plenty of weird things unrelated to MIR on my system.
