Sibelius 7.5.1 crashes when closing a score

Hi,

I´ve had this issue since v7.0 of Sibelius: 

I use VEPro 5 (latest), and when closing a score, either by keyboard shortcut or by clicking "Close window", Sibelius crashes with "Unexpectedly quits".

I´ve seen earlier posts about crashes occuring when in Full Screen mode, but I get crashes in normal window-mode. 

Is there some preferred sequence to execute when closing a score? Like, first save VE project-->save metaframe-->save playback devices etc...?

My Playback devices of VEPro and events are in VST.

Hello Henrik!

I don't see any indication that your Sibelius crashes have something to do with Vienna Ensemble. Is there something that makes you think Vienna Ensemble crashes or causes the crash? It's not necessary to save your VE project or close Vienna Ensemble before closing Sibelius. Maybe the Sibelius support team can help.

well, it never happens when I'm not using VEPro+server. That's why I presumed there was a connection...

I see. Does Vienna Ensemble Pro also crash? If yes, you can send us a crash report to  ?

Does this problem always happen with VE Pro or only with a particular Playback Configuration?

Hi,

No, Vienna doesn´t crash..  It usually happens when working on large orchestral scores with multiple Pro Events.

If VE Pro doesn't crash, it seems to me that it isn't responsible for Sibelius crashing either. It's hard to say from here why these crashes occur. Did you contact Sibelius support?

I know.. It´s probably a Sibelius issue. I´m trying to get a response from them, Avid hasn´t got the best Support Service in town.. But thanks, Andi, as always quick and good response from you!

well, Avid´s support page chrashed several times while I tried to submit my question...

Although, the problem is gone now, at least has been for the past week or so. I´m always downsizing windows before closing a score. ( Have read somewhere that there is an issue with full screen mode).
