More than 16 Stereo Outputs with AU Plug in Logic X?

I am building a large scoring template and am wondering if I can access more than 16 stereo outputs from VEP 5 in Logic X. I have VEP set for 64 outputs, but Logic only see 16 stereo from the ViFrame through the AU Plugin. Is that a limitation of the AU Plugin?
