    Hi,

This is a message about Vienna INSTRUMENTS needing an update, to make MIRx (inside VI) work properly.

Is the latest VI version installed?

    Best,

    Paul

I uninstalled and then re-installed regular-VI, regular-VE, VI Pro 2, and MIR Pro 24 after re-downloading them all from my user area today; but that didn't fix it.

When I run the programs and look at the version numbers that show at the top, I see:

    • regular-VI -- 5.3.13260
    • regular-VE -- 5.3.13260
    • VI Pro 2 -- 2.4.13260
    • MIR Pro 24 -- 5.3.13234
I couldn't tell you for sure is those are the latest versions, but those are the version numbers shown in my user area for download too. I have been having this issue ever since I first installed MIR Pro.
I don't have MIRx installed, I think. It used to be but I uninstalled it.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the information. Did you uninstall the MIRx RoomPack data after the demo licenses expired?

    Best,

    Paul

I just checked, and I guess I didn't uninstall MIRx, because it's not a separate program? But the demo license did expire recently. However, I had this same issue before the MIRx demo license expired.

I don't remember for sure if I uninstalled the MIRx RoomPack data after the demo licenses expired, and I don't know how to check.

  • Hi,

Simply look for "MIRx-Venue" and you´ll find the impulse content folders on your harddrive. As you are not using them anymore, you can delete them.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Thanks, Paul. I found and deleted the MIRx RoomPacks, but MIR Pro 24 is continuing to tell me an update is needed (and I've let MIR Pro 24 install the "update" again, and that still doesn't stop MIR Pro 24 from showing me the update-needed message).

It's still a pretty good program, imho. Thanks for not banning me for reporting a bug, like EWQL did.
