epic orchestra: only 1 activation?
hi. I just bought Vienna ensemble pro and ma trying to get it running on 2 pcs in my studio. I have ensemble pro and epic orchestra installed and registered to my Steinberg dongle on my main pc. I have a 2nd pc and another Steinberg dongle on which I tried to do the same so I can attempt networking. I (eventually, after a lot of trouble) got ensemble pro working on 2nd pc (it refused to find my vst plugins folder and I had to uninstall Vienna many times and shuffle vst to a new location). BUT; when I try to activate epic orchestra on 2nd pc, it says the authorisation is already in use. in my software area (I find the Vienna website terrible for finding what I bought) I don't see any additional serials for epic orchestra. how many installs do I get? defeats the purpose for me if I can't use the orchestra and other Vienna instuments on more than one pc. i'm new to Vienna (still not used it) so go easy on me :-) Ed

Welcome Ed,
Epic Orchestra is an add-on orchestra to VE PRO and comes with one license.
One of the great features of VE PRO is that you can connect computers via network, so you really only need the Epic Orchestra on one computer.
EDIT: On PC, you have to set the right VST Plug-in folder(s) in your VE PRO Preferences.
Best,
Paul

Thanks for reply Paul. so at the moment I have epic orchestra on my main pc. if I wanted it on my other pc instead, is it possible to transfer the license in ELC? I assumed because you get 3 installs for main component it would be the same for the library... p.s. I did point to my vst plugins folder in preferences. on my main pc it worked fine. on my 2nd it didn't work at all after many attempts. like it wasn't storing the change. after uninstalling vsl 3 times and reinstalling, it finally worked. although i'm new to vsl i'm very experienced in Cubase and plugins. the next thing to worry about is getting the 2 pcs networked :-) ED

Hi. So is it possible to uninstall from the pc the epic library is on, reinstall on my other pc and then move the license to my other dongle? thanks. edit; just found info that suggests I can move license from dongle to dongle. will give it a go. shame that users don't get a couple of installs though.
