Hello Jay, I am trying to reach you professionally. Could you forward your contact info (or any questions you may have) to me at nathaniel@musaka.net please? I am LA. All my best, N.

Hi Jay, I think you are one of the best midi editor, by far the best.
You should really consider setting up a class or your own blog to teach how you edit those score and make it sound so real like an orchestra.
I will certainly pay for this kind of lessons.
Kindly let me know if you wanted to teach this for private lessons.
Thank you.
Best Wishes

Hello Am new to this forum, so sorry if I get this wrong. I am very impressed by Jay Bacal's virtual "Rite of Spring" I am a Leicester film-maker, and would like to use parts from it in a film I am making, called "Doppelganger". I don't want to infringe on copyright - so please get in touch. Regards Richard Burton kozmicfrog1@gmail.com

... You can learn a lot by downloading the midi files included in the tutorial of the various demos....Are tutorial / midi files available for your "Star Wars - Main Theme" (http://www.vsl.co.at/Player2.aspx?Lang=1&DemoID=5844)?
Thanks for sharing some of your techniques.
As an aside, I'm wondering where to find the sheet music for this, as I've been unable to find it after some trying?

Jay has not posted on this forum for a while. However maybe this will help.

Two caveats:- I have not personally seen these scores, so I can't vouch for their authenticity.
- In any case they will have been re-scored (by JW) for concert use, so they might not be 100% the same as the ones that Jay worked from.

Thanks very much for the tip. Even with those caveats, it will likely be a million times better than what I could come up with on my own. Mostly interested in studying JW's orchestration, which is one of my weakest points.
Sorry I missed Jay's presence on this forum; I didn't hear his work until recently, and I think it's outstanding. I hope VSL and Jay decide to release a tutorial / midi files for the Star Wars "Main Title".

Star Wars main theme concert suite is available at Alexander Publishing.com. Look for JW on the home page.
