  • Is anybody using FORTI or SERTI for Vienna Reverb?

     Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Numerical Sound impulse responses for Vienna Reverb,  and if it even does make any sense to use with MIR.

    It seems some of the impulses are just convolution EQ - not reverb, anyone wth any experience with this?

    I'm tempted to buy these seeing that they are on offer, but I don't know what I'm entering into with these...

    I used to use it a lot before I bought MIR and like it a lot. With MIR you may not need the early refections and tails but the FilmEQ, HighPass and other eq presets could be handy.

    Like Fred wrote: Within MIR it's unlikely that you would benefit a lot from additional early reflections, but the filters and EQs are unique and highly useful - with or without MIR Pro. :-)

    I am demoing Forti but have to admit I dont know how to effectively utilize it - within MIR or outside of MIR. I have MIR pro and want to test drive it, particularly the film timbres and filters. Is there a "Forti for Dummies" ? [:D]

    Thanks Dietz-- I have explored both - but they aren't what I would consider "practical" or "for dummies" version. There are some specific presets for specific instruments but not having a "preset" to start with leaves me a little overwhelmed with "application".
