I've read about people running VE Pro 5 and have noticed that one composer wrote that he was running a "master" computer and a single "slave" with one single Vienna Key.
My composer friend insists that I would need 2 Vienna Keys, if I'm going to run my Macbook Pro (with Logic as my DAW) as the "master" and my Mac Pro as the "slave"?
I've got my webshop cart full and ready to press "purchase" but I'm not sure if I need to add another Vienna Key?
Will one Vienna Key be enough a "master/slave" configuration?
Thanks in advance... -- Andy

I'm confused but also an optimistic customer-to-be...

One key is enough if all your samples are hosted on the slave computer, with just your DAW on the main computer. If you have sample on both, you'll need two keys.

Thanks for the reply Bill. Does that (one key set-up) include any external drives connected to the slave computer?

Yes, external drive makes no differenece. You can also move the key to the main computer if you have need of only running one system, and want to plug those same external drive in there.

Regardless of samples (VSL samples on two machines means two keys), if you simply connect to [the slave's] VE Pro on the master, that doesn't need a key; if, however, you launch VE Pro on that master machine, you need a key for that. But you get three licenses.@AKMusicProductions said:
