Sibelius Soundset

 When will the sound set be updated to include the Dimension Double Bass? I realize the DB are just a preview, but surely the final instrument layout is in place.

Also, when using the standard VI Pro DB preset in Sib, engaging MIRx mutes playback. Standard reverb work fine.

There probably will be no Preview Dimension Doublebass VI Presets for Sibelius. Please wait for the final release.

With which preset do you get the problem with the muted playback exactly? Could it be that you have loaded one of the MIRx venues that you had a demo license for and which has expired in the meantime?

No, the venue is set correctly. This only happens in Sibelius. In standalone or in another host all works as expected.

 Hi Andi,

I load the VSL House Style, use the VE Strings soundset, and choose the Dimension Doublebasses instrument. In VE Pro I load the 01P DB-All_Preview Set (though it's the same for any of the presets) and use the DM DB all profile.

The VIP VU meter shows signal, but I don't get any sound in Sibelius. As I said before, it works fine with no reverb or with algo.

Hello Bill!

I can't reproduce the behaviour you have described. Dimension Basses work normal with any type of reverb here. Please follow the signal chain. Do you get a signal in the VE Pro mixer? Does it get routed to the Master Bus? Is the Master Bus routed to Out1/Out2? To which output is the signal routed in Sibelius (Audio Engine Options menu)?

If you can't find the reason for the problem then, you can send your Sibelius project and Playback Configuration (xml file and data folder) to and I will take a look at it. On Windows 8 Sibelius 7.5 Playback Configurations can be found here:
