I have full percussion sample kit. There are 4 sample banks for thundersheet in level 2: B,C.D,E How do I tell Sibalius which thundersheet to use? Using VE Server to connect MacBook Pro master to Mac Pro slave over wifi

  • Hello Lee!

Let's see what's written in the manual for the VE Percussion sound set on page 22:
    Thundersheets A–E
Use the Sibelius instrument “Thundersheet [1 line]” and the Manual Sound Sets Program “Percussion”.
Choose the Thundersheet by selecting your preferred matrix in the Vienna Instruments player. ...

This manual has been installed by the VSL Soundset Installer. You can find it in your Applications or Programs folder under VSL Sibelius Soundsets.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • That doesn't answer my question. In Vienna Instruments Player on my slave, do I select which of the B,C,D,E on the 2nd matrix, or is the decision made which B,C,D or E in Sibalius?

  • I'm not sure which 2nd matrix you are talking about. Maybe you didn't load the correct VI preset. With Sibelius please use the presets that have been installed in your VSL Custom Data/Sibelius folder. In your case this preset is called "Thundersheets A-E L2" and can be found under Sibelius/Percussion 1.3/Percussion/Extended.

Then you select the matrix by clicking on it in the Vienna Instruments player.

    Best,
    Andi
