Does MIR Pro 24 would with VE 4?
I'm trying to get the demo for MIR Pro 24 to work with VE 4. When I open up MIR Pro 24 inside VE 4 and select a venue I get the following message "No Room Pack Available". Then it asks is I have have a valid license on my eLicenser. I have the room pack one demo license registered. I also asked if I have the room pack installed and if the correct folder is pointed to in the preferences. I think I do. I downloaded room pack 1 and decompressed it to my desktop then pointed the preferences to the decompressed room pack file. I did not notice any install file. Did I miss something? Thanks, Aric

OK now I am confused. Right now the demo is working with VE 4. I was just checking out a review which says that it only works with VE Pro 5. It also says that I have to purchase at least one room pack with it. I really like the demo, I just want to know it will work with VE 4. Thanks, Aric

Thanks Paul for getting back to me. I think everything is fine. I currently am running the demo of MIR on VE 4 with the demo room packs. My mistake was that I didn't install the room packs with the VSL Download Manager. I simply pointed MIR to the downloaded file folder on my desktop. After I installed it MIR worked fine. My question on my last post was simply about an online product review I was reading of MIR. It said that it only worked with PRO 5. I was just confused because MIR was running fine on VE 4. My only question was simply a clarificaction that the purchased version of MIR will indeed work with VE 4. Aric

In Vienna Ensemble 4, MIR Pro will work in its more "conventional" plug-in mode. Several of the more advanced features - especially in context with Vienna Instruments / Pro - are only available when MIR Pro is used inside Vienna Ensemble Pro 5.

Thanks for the friendly words, Aric.
Most of your questions are covered by the Vienna MIR Pro Plug-In Manual Add-On, available from your VSL User Area:
-> http://dl.vsl.co.at/downloader.aspx?ID=14327
The main differences are due to the fact that Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 ("VE Pro 5") is able to link the features of Vienna Instruments 2 ("VI2") and Vienna MIR Pro. Another factor worth mentioning is that there are more than hundred "Venue Presets" available whiclh rely on the tight integration of VI2, VE Pro 5 and MIR.
An overview (compiled from the manual's addendum mentioned above):

... notably, the missing "Auto Guessing" of Instrument Profiles requires considerably more manual input by the user when working with Vienna Instruments - especially when using the recently introduced "MIRx Mode" of MIR Pro.
