My Steinberg Key fell apart. (It's now in 2 plastic pieces + a circuit board.)
I only bought it a few months ago, so it will be under warranty, however I suspect it's not a good idea to return it to the retailer with any of my existing licenses loaded onto it.
If anyone has ever had to replace a key, would you please advise me on the appropriate procedure to make sure that I retain any licenses I have on the key so that they can then be loaded onto a replacement key when it arrives. (Or, do I need to have the replacement key first, before returning the old one, in order to transfer licenses?)
I'm new to the way that e-Licensers work, so I'd appreciate any advice.
