    Hi there,

    this maybe more a question for the developers to answer, and it's in regard to equalisation in Mirx and Vienna Suite.

    I have both of these. Now in MIRx I can tick the preequalisation box to set up the equalisation for this. Now, with VIenna Suite, this also has pre-created settings for different vienna instruments. I'm guessing that these equalisation pre-settings in MIRx were created specially for use within MirX

    However, I'm wondering if, seeing that  I have Vienna Suite as well, that because the equalisation pre-sets that come with MIRX were specially designed for Mirx,  will it be best for me to stick with the pre-equalisation presets that come with MirX,  instead of using the equalisation pre-sets that come with Vienna Suite.

    I've tried it both ways, Steve, and there's no mechanical answer except to try it and see which one your ears likes the best.

    The Pre-EQ settings for MIRx are trying hard to be the "one-size-fits-all"-solution for a chosen instrument in a chosen MIRx-Venue (... I mean - I tried_ really_ hard to achieve this ;-D ...), and in fact each and every of them is taylor-made. But there _will_ be cases when you want to hear something different, just because the composition and/or the arrangement you're working on needs specific treatment. Then the Vienna Suite EQ will come handy.

    ... just try to avoid over-processing when using both MIRx' Pre-EQ and external EQs at the same time.

    (A sidenote to all MIR Pro users: MIRx' "Pre-EQ" is known as "Character" in MIR Pro).
