I was reading a similar thread on Sonikmatter, and there were surprisingly few recommendations for batch sample converters, as in a program that would, among other things, take a whole lot of AIFF's in 44.1 and convert them to AIFF's in 48. (Logic can do it, but only one file at a time.) Perhaps the VSL'ers have a favorite conversion program for Mac OSX. Thanks.

Batch Sample Rate Converters for Mac OSX

I've been using Sample Manager the past few weeks, and it seems to get the job done pretty nicely. Will batch convert to MP3 plus some other useful functions as well. And...it doesn't cost very much.

There used to be "Barbapatch" for OS9, it should work under OSX, too.
The main problem with most of the available converters is that the re-sampling is "ok" in the best case. If you plan to down-sample delicate material, expect subtle degradation at least. - this is true for Mac as well as the PC-side, of course.

Barbabatch Version 4 is an OS X version.

From the reviews, it would appear that this is probably the best sounding sample rate conversion available. But, as usual, you pay a price for it. $395.00 US, vs. $49.00 for Sample Manager.
I'd love to hear the same file converted with each, to see how much difference there really is.
