  • Triple Horn full library

I use Sibelius without a midi keyboard, which is my preferred method of composing, and using Special Edition Vol 1 Plus has been working well for me, but now I'm expanding, wishing to improve the performance possibilities. So I purchased the complete Triple Horn, and now I can't get anything except staccato. I have set VSL Woodwind + Brass in a new instance of Vienna Ensemble Pro for manual sound sets. In Vienna Instrument there is a list of matrices and very many patches. As I have assumed that Sibelius would automatically be interpreted by VI Pro, I've no idea what to do next. How do I load what is available in the Triple Horn so that Sibelius will automatically communicate, as it does with Special. Edition? If I'm going to have this difficulty, what will happen when I purchase the Orchestral Strings bundle? Phil

  • Hello Phil!

The sound set "VE Woodwinds+Brass" only works correctly with the VI presets for Sibelius that come with it. If you have run the VSL Soundset Installer for Sibelius, these presets have been installed in your VSL Custom Data/Sibelius folder.

For the Orchestral Strings, you will have to use the "VE Strings" sound set and the VI presets that come with the VSL Soundset Installer.

More details can be found in the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual. The VSL Soundset Installer and the manual can be downloaded here:
