Velocity X-Fade

On trumpets and trombones, the VEL X-Fade slider moves up and down following the dynamics, and playback is as it should be, but for some reason, the Horn VEL X-Fade slider does not move at all, and there is no change of dynamics in playback, but if I switch it off, the playback is correct, AND the slider works then, which is opposite to the other brass. I have Expression slider all the way up for the horn. Strange also is that a test that I added for the Horn later in the score repeating the same note but going through the full range of dynamics, had the slider completely stationary, even though it had been moving earlier, and still with the correct dynamics playing back. Yes I do have CC11 for VEL X-Fade, and NONE for Expression. Any explanation for this on the Horn only? Phil

I spotted a possible cause, and turned out to be the solution. I had selected horn in F in Sibelius, and I tried changing it to Horn in F (no key), and then VEL X-Fade worked correctly, with better sound as well.
