Setting AUTO in the Sibelius mixer doesn't always work

With two instances of VE PRO 5 running, woodwind harp and strings on one, brass and timp on the other, I get messed up playback unless I adjust some of the instrument channels. For instances, some of the strings ended up assigned to VE 2 when they should have been on VE 1. Even when that was adjusted, I found all four horns assigned to the same channel, instead of separate channels, so I had to select VE 2 and specify the channels, so that I could force the horns to take the correct channels. The numbering of the channels coincide with the order of the instruments in each instance of VE, so I would have thought that AUTO would have worked. Phil

Hello Phil!

For me the outputs and channels ALWAYS work correctly, after making program and channel settings on the Manual Sound Sets page. If you don't make channel or output settings in the Sibelius mixer in the first place, you don't have to reset them back to (Auto).

If you can't get your set up to work properly, please send a detailed description of the Sibelius instruments you are using, your Playback Configuration (Sound Sets and settings on the Manual Sound Sets page) and the VI Presets or VI Matrices you have loaded to
