My name is Jon, just so you don't have to write all those 1's haha.. when I made that name I didn't think I'd need the forum stuff.. little did I know. Now I can't change it!
Also wanted to let you know that I had a day of testing today (slow day) and I can confirm that turning off Automatic Delay Compensation in DP fixes this issue. Regardless of what plugins I have. I think that's why DP7.24 worked well, in terms of no dropped notes, because that function didn't work in DP7. Obviously, it presents the problem of tracks not being sample accurate. Luckily in my case, the problematic cue was a more legato cue, so timing wasn't as crucial.
Maybe this is something for VSL to look into being the main culprit. Although not sure if they can help it or if DP is the one that needs to fix it.
My scoring template is rather large. 200+ midi tracks, 100+ Audio returns from VEP. VEP has 3 instances and 1 "Ghost" (non preserved) instance. And my template has about 12 Event Inputs going into each of those 3 instances.
I would disregard DP's CPU meter, but when it goes to the red, I hear audio pops. So it is accurate in showing when pops will come up. I just raise the buffer and deal with 1024 samples of latency when playing.. it sucks, but it works for now, and I get my cues delivered on time.. which is the ultimate goal.
